IPSWICH, QUEENSLAND
Ipswich is located 40km West of Brisbane and is home to over 115,000 people. Ipswich boasts its architecture with over 6,000 heritage listed sites after being founded as a mining settlement in 1827. Ipswich is also home to over 500 parks and has a rich natural and cultural heritage, hosting the annual Goodna Jacaranda Festival since 1968. Another annual event is The Fuchs Winternationals held at Willowbank Raceway, part of the Ipswich Motorsport Precinct which has seen up to 40,000 people attend in previous years making it one of the largest drag race festivals in the southern hemisphere.
