At Southern Stars Air Conditioning & Electrical, we believe customers shouldn't have to compromise on quality to get a competitive price. If you receive a cheaper genuine written quotation for an equivalent eligible system and installation, we'll beat the competitors comparable price by 5%*!

 

How to Claim

To request the Price Beat Guarantee:

• Obtain a genuine written competitor quotation dated within the last 30 calendar days

• Submit the quotation to Southern Stars before accepting the quote

• Allow Southern Stars to review the quoted products, materials and installation specifications

• If the quotation satisfies the eligibility requirements, Southern Stars will provide a revised written quotation reflecting the 5% Price Beat Guarantee

Eligible systems must include the corresponding compatible indoor unit specified in the manufacturer's eligible model listing. 

Other air conditioning brands, models, or configurations not included in this list are excluded. 

 

Eligible Zoning and Control Systems

The Price Beat Guarantee applies to eligible ducted systems incorporating zoning and control products supplied by Southern Stars Air Conditioning & Electrical, including:

• Fujitsu AnywAir

• Advantage Air MyAir

• Advantage Air MyPlace

Zoning  systems must be equivalent in functionality, number of zones, control capacity and installation requirements. 

 

Competitor Quotation Requirements

To qualify, the competing quotation must:

• Be a genuine written quotation issued within the previous 30 calendar days

• Be from a legitimate Australian business holding the appropriate Queensland licenses

• Clearly identify the business name, ABN, quotation date and installation address

• Include the air conditioning system model, zoning equipment, installation specifications and total price including GST

• Be for a new residential supply-and-install project

• Be available for acceptable at the time the Price Beat Guarantee is requested

• Be provided to Southern Stars before acceptance of our quotation or payment of a deposit

Southern Stars reserves the right to reasonably verify the authenticity and specifications of any competing quotation.

Verbal quotes, altered documents, expired offers and unverifiable pricing are excluded.

 

Apples-for-Apples Product and Installation Comparison

All competing quotations must be genuinely comparable to Southern Stars' proposed system and installation.

This includes:

• Identical air conditioning manufacturer, model and system compacity

• Equivalent zoning systems, controls and number of zones

• Equivalent ductwork design, sizing, insulation and installation methods

• Equivalent supply and return air grilles, diffusers, plenums and fittings

• Equivalent refrigeration pipework, electrical materials, drainage and associated installation components

• Equivalent installation scope, site conditions, commissioning and workmanship inclusions

• Equivalent warranty and after-sales service inclusions

Quality Standards

All ductwork and associated installation materials must be equivalent in quality, specification, performance and durability to the products supplies and installed by Southern Stars.

Southern Stars will not substitute inferior-quality ductwork, insulation, fittings, grilles or associated materials solely to match a competitor's lower price. 

Where a competitor's quotation includes products or materials that do not meet Southern Stars' established quality standards, the quotation will not quality unless a genuinely equivalent comparison can be established.

Southern Stars may request further information to confirm the quality and specifications of the competing installation.

 

Eligible Service Areas

The Price Beat Guarantee is available for eligible residential installations located within a 50-kilometre straight-line radius of either of the following Southern Stars office locations:

Toowoomba Office - 21 Croft Crescent, Harristown QLD

Caboolture Office - 95 Lear Jet Drive, Caboolture QLD

The 50-kilometre radius is calculated from the relevant office address to the installation property. Properties outside these service areas are excluded from the promotion. Additional time or installation charges may apply where unusual site conditions exist and must be disclosed in the final quotation.

 

Price Beat Calculation

For an eligible and verified competitor quotation, Southern Stars will provide a price that is 5% lower than the competitor's comparable quoted price, including GST. 

The guarantee applies to the total eligible supply-and-install package, not individual equipment or materials. 

 

Exclusions

The Price Beat Guarantee does not apply to:

• Supply-only purchases

• Commercial, industrial or builder-contract installations

• Systems not included in the eligible model listing

• Second-hand, refurbished, discontinued or clearance equipment

• Quotes older than 30 calendar days

• Competitor quotes that are expired, unverifiable or not genuinely available

• Wholesale, trade-only, employee or special contract pricing

• Insurance replacements, warranty claims or repairs

• Installations outside the nominated 50-kilometre service areas

• Quotations with inferior or non-equivalent products, ductwork, materials or installation inclusions

• Additional works or variations not included in the original comparable scope

• Previously acceptable Southern Stars quotations or completed installations

 

Manufacturer Cashback Promotions

Customers purchasing an eligible General Airstage ducted system may also qualify for the manufacturer's 2026 Ducted Summer Cashback Promotion.

Cashback amounts range from $300 to $500 depending on the eligible system purchased. The manufacturer cashback promotion requires eligible purchases by 11 December 2026, with claims submitted by 29 January 2027, subject to the manufacturer's full terms and conditions. 

The 5% Price Beat Guarantee is calculated on the eligible competitor's quoted price before any applicable manufacturer's cashback. 

 

General Conditions

• The guarantee applies to new eligible residential ducted air conditioning installations only

• The guarantee cannot be exchanged for cash or credit

• The guarantee cannot be combined with other Southern Stars discretionary discounts unless expressly agreed in writing

• All quotations remain subject to final site requirements and product availability 

• Any agreed variations or additional works will be quoted separately 

• Southern Stars may amend or withdraw the promotion for future enquiries, without affecting eligible offers already accepted

• Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights under the Australian Consumer Law
