Common Air Conditioning Problems We Repair

Air conditioning systems can develop faults over time due to normal wear, electrical issues, environmental conditions or lack of maintenance.

Our technicians regularly diagnose and repair problems including:

• Air conditioner not cooling properly

• Air conditioner not heating

• Poor airflow

• Water leaking from the indoor unit

• Ice forming on the evaporator coil

• Unusual noises or vibrations

• Bad smells coming from the system

• System won't turn on

• Unit keeps switching on and off

• Error codes on the display

• Remote control issues

• Outdoor unit not operating

• Electrical faults

• Refrigerant-related issues

• Drainage problems

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, our team can inspect your system and recommend the most appropriate repair.

Our Air Conditioning Repair Process

1. Fault Diagnosis — Every repair begins with a thorough inspection to identify the cause of the problem rather than simply treating the symptoms.

2. Explain the Problem — Once we've identified the fault, we'll clearly explain: what has failed, why it happened, whether repair is recommended, estimated repair cost, and whether replacement may be more economical.

3. Professional Repairs — Where appropriate, we'll complete the necessary repairs using quality replacement components and industry-approved repair procedures.

Signs Your Air Conditioner Needs Repair

You may require professional repairs if your system:

• Doesn't cool the room effectively

• Doesn't produce warm air in heating mode

• Leaks water indoors

• Makes grinding, rattling or buzzing noises

• Produces unpleasant odours

• Trips the electrical circuit breaker

• Frequently turns itself off

• Displays fault codes

• Has significantly higher running costs

• Stops operating completely

Ignoring these warning signs may allow minor problems to develop into more significant repairs over time.

Should You Repair or Replace Your Air Conditioner?

One of the most common questions we receive is whether it's worth repairing an older system.

The answer depends on several factors, including:

• Age of the system

• Overall condition

• Availability of replacement parts

• Repair cost

• Energy efficiency

• Frequency of previous repairs

If repairing your air conditioner is the most economical option, we'll recommend that. If replacement offers better long-term value, we'll explain your options without unnecessary pressure.
